Coomalie Air Maintenance Pty Ltd
Owner and Chief Engineer Geoff Morton came to us in 2017 after an audit from CASA came up with deficiencies regarding maintenance control. Even though Geoff had installed Aerotrack software and loaded all the aircraft, the management of that was not up to standard. With the blessing of CASA we came to an agreement for a Management Contract to oversea his maintenance control activities. It was a relief for Geoff, who had trouble securing staff at the right experience and competence levels to trust.

He approached Avtrac after being encouraged by an external auditor and mining client to outsource maintenance control. Clark has as AoC for Charter and Training based in Port Hedland, and a CAR30 Maintenance Organisation with his own expert LAME, but the auditor saw a single point failure possibility and conflict of interest in the maintenance and control aspects. Compliance checks revealed discrepancies that were cleared and Avtrac Gold set up online for all company staff. The Chief Engineer was struggling with compliance despite having a computerised tracking system. Compliance checks rectified all the discrepancies, and the Avtrac Gold system was set up online.
